![]() ![]() This passage also says that making choices isn’t just about our own lives it also affects other people around us (like our families). The paralytic made his mind up to be healed…and then started walking! When people are sick or going through hard times, they can make their minds up about what they want to do instead of giving up hope…and things will change for them. In this passage, Jesus tells a man who was paralyzed for 38 years that he could get up and walk again if he believed in him. In John 5:39-40, Jesus says that the choice is yours. The question is: does this apply to us? If we are Christians, do we need to wait for God to act on our behalf? John 5:39-40 It’s a beautiful promise that God will not abandon his people and his heritage for justice will return to the righteous, and all the upright in heart will follow it. If you are a Christian, you probably know the Bible verse from 1 Samuel 12:24 by heart. “Choose this day whom you will serve” (Joshua 24:15).Here’s one of my favorite verses about making choices: Sometimes the choice is easy for you to make, but difficult for others around you to comprehend. Choices can be good or bad, and sometimes both at the same time. And you can also make choices about what is right and wrong, who you want to be, how you want your life story to turn out…Ĭhoices are important. You can choose to serve the Lord or not.You can choose to love the Lord or not.You can choose to obey the Lord or not.You can choose to follow the Lord or not.But if we choose right again after making a mistake, then God will help us in our time need. If we choose wrong, then God will not help us when we need him most. We can choose to do what is right or we can choose to do what is wrong. “For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up and he shall be brought down.” (Isaiah 2:12) Choose the way you live your life, and choose it today!. ![]()
